Or to put it in simple word “SHIT”, israel is SHIT and don’t we all know this.

srael’s 2006 war against Hezbollah in Lebanon was a “large and serious” failure, according to an Israeli government-appointed inquiry.

Military and political leaders had no clear strategy, which meant Israel was “dragged” into an inconclusive ground operation in Lebanon, the report said.

PM Ehud Olmert has insisted he will not step down despite the findings.

However, public pressure could grow on partners in his governing coalition to pull out, analysts say. [source]

israel IDF (Israel Defeated Force) cry

that’s not all, they are still crying:

more israel IDF (Israel Defeated Force) cry and cry aloud, no brave faces here

but that’s not all, their crying never ends, just like their illegal occupation of Palestine:

Take a look at the second IDF (Israel Defeated Force) from the right, please someone call his ma’ma, his having a bad(ass) time.

The following picture speaks a million words, the IDF experience the real SHOCK AND AWE

IDF (Israel Defeated Force) experience the real SHOCK AND AWE.  Their faces say it all (for the illegal nation)

I guess the Party is still not over.

..unless the Jews and Zionist have something to do with it..

I guess the Palestinian Flag explains it all:

The Colours of the Flag say it all:

Green: Is for the Land of Palestine

White: is for the peace in which the Palestinians lived before they were made refugees

Red: is for the blood they spilled in trying to liberate their land, and

Black: is for life their life under occupation and oppression

sensitive data for 25 Million Britons is lost by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs November 21, 2007

No doubt you must have by now read/heard and seen the news in which the Government has admitted losing sensitive personal data for half of the UK’s population, 25 million Britons.

Surprised? (but just wait, there is more to come):

Any family in the UK who has a child under the age of 16 are officially at risk of ID fraud for decades.  The information that has gone missing includes:

  • National Insurance Number
  • Name, Address and Date of Birth,
  • Partners Details,
  • Name, Sex and age of Children
  • Bank and savings account details

It’s Britain’s worst personal data security lapse, second only to the US government losing data on 26.5 million former servicemen last year. And it comes at a politically sensitive time; the British government is preparing to further centralize data as it roles out national ID cards next year.

The worst and scary part is:

At Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, a junior member of staff has a level of access to data such that they can transfer the entire data set for 25,000,000 individuals to their workstation and burn it onto a couple of CDs.

Can you imagine that, the level of access given to a junior staff at HMRC is the worst crime.  How many other staff at HMRC lower than a junior level had access to it?

No doubt this is just a tip of the ice burg, more will be revealed………

…and this government was scaring the whole nation into submission and into accepting the new ID cards with the excuse of protecting everyone from terrorism.  But who has just aided terrorism….

The mouse that shook the world November 3, 2007

It can run for hours at 20 metres per minute without getting tired. It lives longer, has more sex, and eats more without gaining weight. Could the science that created this supermouse be applied to humans?

By Steve Connor, Science Editor
Published: 02 November 2007

Scientists have been astounded by the creation of a genetically modified “supermouse” with extraordinary physical abilities – comparable to the performance of the very best athletes – raising the prospect that the discovery may one day be used to transform people’s capacities.

The mouse can run up to six kilometres (3.7 miles) at a speed of 20 metres per minute for five hours or more without stopping. Scientists said that this was equivalent of a man cycling at speed up an Alpine mountain without a break. Although it eats up to 60 per cent more food than an ordinary mouse, the modified mouse does not put on weight. It also lives longer and enjoys an active sex life well into old age – being capable of breeding at three times the normal maximum age.

American scientists who created the mice – they now have a breeding colony of 500 – said that they were stunned by their abilities, especially given that the animals came about as a result of a standard genetic modification to a single metabolism gene shared with humans.

They emphasised that the aim of the research was not to prepare the way to enhance the genes of people. However, they accepted that it may be possible to use the findings to develop new drugs or treatments that could one day be used to “enhance” the natural abilities of athletes.

The professor of biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University at Cleveland in Ohio, Richard Hanson, said that the physical performance of the supermouse can only be compared to supremely fit athletes like the cyclist Lance Armstrong, who won the Tour de France seven consecutive times from 1999 to 2005. The genetic alteration to a gene involved in glucose metabolism appears to stimulate the efficient use of body fat for energy production. At the same time, the mice do not suffer from a build up of lactic acid – which causes muscle cramps – a feature also seen in the best endurance athletes.

Professor Hanson said yesterday: “They are metabolically similar to Lance Armstrong biking up the Pyrenees. They utilise mainly fatty acids for energy and produce very little lactic acid. They are not eating or drinking and yet they can run for four or five hours. They are 10 times more active than ordinary mice in their home cage. They also live longer – up to three years of age – and are reproductively active for almost three years. In short, they are remarkable animals.

“On the downside, they eat twice as much as control mice, but they are half the weight, and are very aggressive. Why this is the case, we are not really sure.”

Professor Hanson, who led the 15-strong team of researchers, said that the first supermouse was created about four years ago by injecting a highly active form of a gene for an enzyme called phosphonenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK-C) into a mouse embryo. The results of studies on the mice are published for the first time today in the Journal of Biological Chemistry.

Professor Hanson said: “We humans have exactly the same gene. But this is not something that you’d do to a human. It’s completely wrong. We do not think that this mouse model is an appropriate model for human gene therapy. It is currently not possible to introduce genes into the skeletal muscles of humans and it would not be ethical to even try.”

However, it may be possible for pharmaceutical companies to use the findings to develop new drugs that enhance muscle performance, which may benefit certain patients. Professor Hanson accepted that it was possible athletes might misuse any future drug developed in this way.

He said: “It’s very possible. It’s a different approach to putting a gene into a human. I would only do that to help anyone who suffers from disorders such as cystic fibrosis.”

The aim of the research was to gain a greater understanding of the PEPCK-C enzyme, which is present mainly in the liver and kidneys. As a result of the genetic modification, the mighty mice have up to 100 times the concentration of the enzyme in its muscles compared with ordinary mice.

Professor Hanson said: “The purpose of our experiment was to study energy metabolism in the mice and the role that a single, metabolically important enzyme might play in a tissue in which it is not normally expressed at high levels.”

He said that the physical and behavioural changes in the modified mice were completely unexpected. Usually, scientists have to carry out blood tests to see if there has been any effect of altering the genes, but these mice were noticeably different at a very early age.

He said: “We could spot them at just a few weeks after birth. They popped around the cage like popcorn. We found that they were about 10 times as active as ordinary mice.”

Further research on the mice could shed light on the link between high-calorie diets and cancer, and low-calorie diets and longevity. He said: “Our animals live longer and eat almost twice as much as ordinary mice – this is a model to study.”

A risky business: previous attempts at genetic modification
Genetic modification is a 30-year-old technology that has been used extensively on a range of animals for basic research and the production of agricultural or pharmaceutical products. It involves inserting an extra gene or modifying the expression of an existing gene within the DNA of the animal. Famous examples of GM animals include:
The Beltsville pig
An early experiment involving the insertion of a gene for human growth hormone into pigs to make them grow faster. They suffered severe bone and joint problems and could not walk properly without pain.
Oncomouse
Created by scientists at Harvard. Engineered to develop cancer, it enabled researchers to use it as a model of the disease. It was involved in one of the earliest patent applications on an animal.
Knock-out mice
Probably the most common use of genetically modified animals. The mice have a gene modified or destroyed so that scientists can study the outcome. Has created a revolution in the understanding of mammalian genes.
Spider-silk goats
Spider-silk protein gene is inserted into goats to extract the substance from their milk. The silk is stronger than steel, so could be used in industry.
Spinach pigs
Japanese scientists have created pigs with an added gene from spinach. They say it cuts fat – making them healthier to eat.
Humanised cattle
A range of experiments have tried to introduce important human genes into cattle so that pharmaceutical proteins can be extracted from their milk.
The green pig
Scientists are trying to introduce a bacterial gene into pigs that will make their faeces less toxic, cutting farm pollution.

UK spies seen trying to damage Russia November 3, 2007

MOSCOW (Reuters) - The man wanted by Britain for the murder of former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko says British secret services are trying to destabilise Russia.

Former KGB officer Andrei Lugovoy, speaking exactly a year after meeting Litvinenko on the day he fell ill, said he had been caught in a web of intrigue that senior figures in Britain were using to damage Russia.

“For the past 15 years in particular, they have been doing everything they can to abase Russia and discredit her on the world stage,” Lugovoy told reporters on Thursday.

Lugovoy met Litvinenko at a London hotel on November 1 last year with another Russian, Dmitry Kovtun. Later that day, Litvinenko complained of feeling ill. He was admitted to hospital and died on November 23 from polonium 210 poisoning.

In a posthumous letter, Litvinenko accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of being responsible for his death, a charge the Kremlin has repeatedly dismissed as nonsense.

Litvinenko’s wife, Marina, said Lugovoy should be brought to justice for killing her husband.

“I will not speak about Sasha today, this is not his day. This is the day of his killers,” she said in a statement.

“The President of Russia, who has been named by Sasha as the instigator of his murder, is obstructing the investigation and backing the suspect with the full clout of Russia’s statehood.”

Lugovoy again denied any involvement in the murder. Russia has refused to extradite him to Britain citing its constitution, which bans handing over its own citizens.

BRITISH SPIES

Lugovoy repeated allegations that Litvinenko, a former FSB officer, had been working for Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service, known as MI6, after working for Russian tycoon Boris Berezovsky. Lugovoy once also worked for Berezovsky.

“LitvineNko had serious material problems, stemming in large part from Berezovsky having sacked him. And Litvinenko was trying to earn money any way he could,” Lugovoy said.

He said he was using his role as a parliamentary candidate for the nationalist Liberal-Democratic party to draw attention to what he called the abasement of Russia by foreigners.

“I felt that I have to demonstrate to the entire Russian government what can happen to a Russian citizen, what may happen to the whole country, if we allow anybody to smear the Russian people any further,” Lugovoy said.

Litvinenko’s wife said Lugovoy’s rise to prominence shed a bad light on modern Russia.

“Presidential support has turned the accused murderer into a national hero,” she said. “He is about to become a member of the Duma. With heroes, presidents and a parliament like that, Russia is destined to a sad future.”  [source]

IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE LOBBY LIED TO US ABOUT ISLAM November 3, 2007

‘They’ tell us that ALL Muslims are bad. ‘They’ tell us that ALL Muslims are terrorists. ‘They’ point their fingers at all of them… without exception, humiliating them, dehumanising them…
BUT… Right here, right now, just a week after the infamous Islamo-Fascist Week ‘celebrations’ sponsored by the Lobby in America, a group of Jewish Israelis honoured Muslims that saved their lives during the nazi occupation of Albania.

Yes, Muslims…. believers in ISLAM….. Hmmmm… what else has the Lobby been lying about??

Yahoo News carried the following

Exhibition honors Muslims who saved Jews

JERUSALEM - Tears welling in his eyes, an elderly Holocaust survivor on Thursday embraced the son of the Albanian man who saved him from the Nazi death camps, highlighting the little-known role played by European Muslims in helping Jews during World War II.

The two met for the first time at a photography exhibition at Yad Vashem, Israel’s official Holocaust memorial, honoring Albanians who sheltered Jewish refugees fleeing Nazi persecution. Albania, a tiny European country with a Muslim majority, sheltered about 1,000 Jews who, except for one family, survived Nazi occupation, according to officials.

“This is a very unique story,” said Yehudit Shendar, the exhibition’s curator. Though Islam has an anti-Jewish image, these were “Muslims who endangered their own lives to save Jews,” she said. Six million Jews were killed by the Nazis during World War II.

Albanians sheltered between 600 and 1,800 Jewish refugees, risking death or imprisonment, officials said. At the end of the war, Albania was the only European country with a larger Jewish population than before the war.

Yoshua Baruchowic, 84, wore a grim smile as he retold the harrowing story of his rescue. He stood next to Enver Alia Sheqer, the Albanian whose father saved him.

For decades, Baruchowic exchanged letters with Sheqer, 50, and his father, Ali Sheqer Pashkaj, who died in 2004. They often sent family photos, and he called Sheqer his “brother.”

Despite many invitations, Baruchowic, who moved to Mexico after the war and became a dentist, refused to visit Albania while the communists were in power, and later because of political turmoil.

Meeting Sheqer on Thursday, he said, “It’s glorious. It’s something I waited to do all my life.”

In 1941, a Nazi convoy transporting Jews passed the Sheqer family’s general store deep in the Albanian mountains. Sheqer’s father offered the soldiers food and wine. When they became drunk, he handed a message — hidden in a melon — to one of the prisoners, the 18-year-old Baruchowic.

Though they had never met, Baruchowic agreed when Ali Sheqer urged him to flee to the woods. The young Jew hid while Sheqer’s father feigned ignorance as he repeatedly stared down a Nazi gun barrel. He held out until the Germans left and then retrieved Baruchowic, hiding him for three years.

“My father was a devout Muslim,” Enver Sheqer said. “He believed that to save one life is to enter paradise.”

He said his father had to help Baruchowic because of the Albanian code of “Besa,” which means “to keep the promise.”

The exhibition is named after that code and features black and white photographs of Albanians holding family photos and awards honoring their heroism. Israel has honored 63 Albanians as “Righteous Among the Nations,” a title granted to non-Jews who helped Jews escape Nazi persecution.

The photo exhibit is the product of five years of “headhunting” by American Jewish photographer Norman Gershman, who said he was inspired culling the archives at Yad Vashem. Working through several organizations, Gershman spent four years in and out of Albania tracking down survivors.

“It started at Yad Vashem and now it’s going to take off from here,” he said. The exhibition is next going to the United Nations headquarters in New York for a display on the International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Jan. 27, he said.

At the exhibit Thursday, Baruchowic and Enver Sheqer stood beneath a photo of Sheqer sitting at the foot of a statue of the Albanian national hero Skanderbeg, a resistance general who led the fight against the Muslim Ottoman Empire in the 15th century.

In the picture, Sheqer delicately clutches his chest while a furrowed brow looks poised for tears. A similar look covered his face as he struggled to the find words to describe meeting Baruchowic for the first time.

“I have such a good feeling,” Sheqer said. “I can’t begin how to describe.” [read more]

Iran, World War III, and the Madness of President George November 3, 2007

Put a straight-jacket on them. That seems to be Los Angeles Times columnist Rosa Brooks’s position on President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney.

As she explains, “We’re in the middle of a disastrous war in Iraq, the military and political situation in Afghanistan is steadily worsening, and the administration’s interrogation and detention tactics have inflamed anti-Americanism and fueled extremist movements around the globe.” Yet Bush and Cheney appear to want another war, this one against Iran.

It does seem mad. Iran has more territory, a larger population, bigger GDP, and more effective military than did Iraq. Tehran possesses missiles capable of hitting Israel and is aligned with America’s client government in Iraq. If any regime is capable of destabilizing Arab regimes allied with the U.S., it is Iran. A cakewalk such a war would not be.

In contrast, being concerned about a nuclear-armed Iran is not mad. Tehran unsettles the world for obvious reasons. It is hard to find anyone anywhere who believes that a nuclear-empowered mullocracy would be a good thing. Although the Islamic republic has behaved as a rational actor for three decades and seems subject to deterrence like other, more normal, states, a residue of doubt remains.

But concern about an unlikely future threat is not the same as a clear and present danger. The former certainly does not justify the kind of rhetoric tossed around by President Bush and Vice President Cheney. They might not be mad in a clinical sense, but they are pretty nutty if they really believe their rhetoric.

First, the vice president said the administration would not stand by in the face of “the Iranian regime’s efforts to destabilize the Middle East and to gain hegemonic power.” This is, to coin a phrase, a hoot. It has been more than two centuries since Iran, or a nation resembling Iran, attacked anyone. The last war in which Tehran was involved was started by Iraq – which was supported in its aggression by America and several American allies.

Second, the administration, through its invasion of Iraq, has destabilized the Mideast. If Iran is poised for regional hegemony, it has that opportunity only because Washington was kind enough to take out both of its principal enemies: the Taliban in Afghanistan and Saddam Hussein in Iraq. Washington also urged Israel on in its botched war against Lebanon, which weakened Israel and strengthened Iran’s ties to Hezbollah. [read more]

Manama: A parliamentarian committee has sidestepped requests by the foreign minister to uphold international agreements and called for the reopening of the Israel boycott office.

“Now that the committee has agreed on reopening the office, we request the foreign ministry to support the decisions by the representatives of the people and to put an end to all forms of contact between Bahrain and the Zionist entity,” Adel Al Mouawda, the chairman of the foreign affairs, defence and national security committee in the lower house, said yesterday.

“The authorities should also allow the reopening of the Israel boycott office and ban any form of communication with the Zionist entity,” he said in a statement to the press following a meeting with Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmad Al Khalifa.

The minister has been facing a barrage of criticism after he said that he met his Israeli counterpart Tzipi Livni last month on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. [read more]

Call for Jews to stop calling Jesus a bastard October 7, 2007

Jew’s calling Jesus a Bastard and the Christians are where?  down the pubs and club celebrating.  Keep it up as Jesus died for your sins, so sin as much as you want and let Jesus pay for it.

Ben Martin – Telegraph.co.uk October 6, 2007

A senior American cardinal has asked Jews to reconsider descriptions of Jesus as a “bastard” in exchange for a softening of traditional Catholic prayers calling for Jews to be converted to Christianity.

The controversial comments, by Cardinal Francis George of the Archdiocese of Chicago, concern a prayer said during Easter celebrations by the small number of parishes or priests who celebrate a particular form of Good Friday mass.

Those version of Good Friday prayers calls for the congregation to pray for Jews to be converted to Christianity.

But Cardinal George said this prayer should be amended to ensure it did not offend Jews.
“I suspect (the amendment) probably will be (made), because the intention is to be sure that our prayers are not offensive to the Jewish people who are our ancestors in the faith,” Cardinal George said in an interview with the National Catholic Reporter.
“We can’t possibly insult them in our liturgy … not that any group has a veto on anybody’s prayers, because you can go through Jewish texts and find material that is offensive to us. But if we’re interested in keeping the dialogue strong, and we have to be, we should be very cautious about any prayer that they find insulting.”

But this should mean that Jews, in turn, consider amending their own religious texts, he said.

“It does work both ways. Maybe this is an opening to say, ‘Would you care to look at some of the Talmudic literature’s description of Jesus as a bastard, and so on, and maybe make a few changes in some of that?’”

Police ban London antiwar march October 7, 2007

New attack on democratic rights

Statement of the Socialist Equality Party (Britain)
6 October 2007

The Metropolitan Police have banned a demonstration by the Stop the War Coalition in central London. Police spokesmen have indicated that this is in response to pressure from the Labour government of Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

The march is planned to coincide with the reopening of Parliament on Monday October 8. This is a major attack on the freedom of speech. It must be condemned and opposed by all workers, young people and socialist-minded intellectuals.

The ban marks an escalation of the Labour government’s 10-year assault on democratic rights. Not content with the mass of recent legislation to curb the right to free speech, it has turned to anti-democratic legislation dating back to the 19th century.

The march has been banned under a little-known law dating from 1839, at the time of the Chartist movement—a period that was to encompass class conflict at home and colonial insurrections abroad. It was a time when the British ruling class believed they were on the brink of social revolution—a fear which was to be confirmed by the 1848 revolutions that toppled thrones in Europe and gave birth to the Marxist movement.

The bourgeoisie weathered a storm that lasted from 183,7 when the Charter was published and launched the first working-class movement, to 1858, when the “Indian Mutiny” or first War of Indian Independence was bloodily crushed. By a combination of violence and economic concessions, the capitalist class was able to maintain its hold on power.

The use of such legislation indicates that the representatives of capital once again fear a threat to their rule. In today’s economic climate, the ability of British capitalism to make the kind of economic concessions it made when it exercised undisputed world hegemony is severely limited. All that is left is its monopoly of violence, which it will not hesitate to use if it faces opposition to its fundamental interests.  [read more]

So Who’s Afraid of the Israel Lobby? October 7, 2007

by Ray McGovern

“The government is pretty jumpy about Israel…the State Department even asked the Israeli ambassador if his government had any objections to McGonagle getting the medal.”

Adding insult to injury, those of the Liberty crew who survived well enough to call for an independent investigation have been hit with charges of, you guessed it, anti-Semitism.

I found myself looking out at 400 blank stares. The USS Liberty? And so I asked how many in the audience had heard of the attack on the Liberty on June 8, 1967. Three hands went up; I called on the gentleman nearest me.

Ramrod straight he stood:

“Sir, Sergeant Bryce Lockwood, United States Marine Corps, retired. I am a member of the USS Liberty crew, Sir.”

Common Dreams

Who’s afraid of the Israeli Lobby? Damn near everyone of our bought and paid for Congress.

To ask Israel if it’s “OK” to award an American the Medal of Honor is beyond disgraceful.

Islam: The Next American Religion? October 4, 2007

Fastest-Growing Religion Often Misunderstood
By Barr Seitz, of ABCNEWS.com

Can you guess the location of these People praying?

NO NEED TO CLICK ANYWHERE, I’LL TELL YOU:

Muslim men bow in prayer on Madison  Avenue in New York at the start of the United Muslim Day Parade. Experts agree Islam is one of the fastest-growing religions in America.  (Emile Wamsteker / AP Photo)

Aaron Cambel was an American kid who used to hang out with friends cruising the local mall,  picking up girls, checking out the latest fashions and getting in trouble. “I was realized if I took the same path, I would have ended up the way they did, wasting my life away,” says Cambel, who lives in Washington. So he converted to Islam. “It was the most simple and direct to understand of the religions I looked into,” says Cambel, who converted four years ago. “It taught about moral character, and ethics and the way people should be treated.”

The American Muslim birthrate is about 4.5 children per couple, versus the 1.9 child per couple national average.

Islam Liberates Black Americans

Cambel, 23, has joined one of the fastest growing religions in the United States. Experts agree Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in America. As many as five million Muslims live in the United States and in the last five years, the number of mosques in this country has increased from 843 to about 1,300. Most of the growth has come from immigration, but much of it is home-grown. For many black Americans, Islam has become the religion of choice and some one million—mostly men—have converted. “It is an American phenomenon, which started in the ghettoes of the north,” says Yvonne Haedad, a professor of history of Islam and of Christian-Muslim Relations at Georgetown University. “It is a response to racism…it is seen as the religion of liberation.” Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam has become the most prominent black Islamic group in the United States. Black men in bow ties and dark suits emphasize the strict discipline of the order, which emphasizes empowerment, a key theme of the Million Man March on Washington in 1995. But Farrakhan’s anti-Semitic remarks—calling  Jews “bloodsuckers” who took from the community to build their own—have brought controversy and publicity to the group. “It’s very visible, because Farrakhan is very visible,” says Fahhim Abdulhadi, spokesman for the American Muslim Council. “Muslims in mainstream have lots of problems with Farrakhan.”

Muslims Battle Prejudices

Many mainstream Muslims also have a problem with the tide of misunderstanding in the United States. “We always need to explain so many issues, “ says Hassan Qacwini, Imam of the Islamic Center of America in Detroit. The most common misunderstanding, according to Qacwini,  is that Islam fosters violence, a perception reconfirmed whenever extremist groups set off suicide bombs or massacre tourists in the Middle East.

“Islam is a peaceful religion,” says Qacwini. “Some would try to connect terrorism to Islam, which is wrong.” Many Americans looked for a Muslim scapegoat when the Alfred P. Murrah building blew up in 1995. “After the Oklahoma City bombing, people said it was Middle East terrorists,” says Abdulhadi. Several Middle Eastern men were briefly detained, and there were reports of harassment against Muslims, including beatings and a mosque burning. Some Muslims point out that when Timothy McVeigh was arrested, no one accused him of bombing the federal building for religious reasons. “Nobody talks about McVeigh as Christian terrorist,” says Haedad.

Hostility Breeds Assertion

The role of women is another area of misunderstanding. For  example, while some non-Muslims see the veil as a tool of oppression, many Muslim women see it as a reinforcement of  their identity in a culture that is hostile to Islam. “It’s empowerment,” says Haedad. “Women say ‘I’m going to wear it and you’d better to put up with it.’” While many   Muslims assert their identity in a society they perceive as hostile, most have followed the pattern of practically every other ethnic and religious group in America: blending and assimilating. “Most Muslims, you wouldn’t pick them out,” says Abdulhadi. “They’re just going to work and getting along.”

“Islam is a peaceful religion. Some would try to connect terrorism to Islam, which is wrong.”  - Hassan Qacwini, Imam in Detroit

There is an estimated 1.6 Billion Muslims currently around the world today!

McCain: I would vote for Muslim president October 1, 2007

(CNN)– GOP presidential hopeful Senator John McCain, R-Arizona, says he feels religion should play a role in one’s selection of a presidential candidate. “I think the number one issue people should make [in the] selection of the President of the United States is ‘Will this person carry on the Judeo Christian principled tradition that has made this nation the greatest experiment in the history of mankind?’”

McCain made the comments an in interview with beliefnet, a website that covers religious issues and affairs.

“I just have to say in all candor that since this nation was founded primarily on Christian principles, personally, I prefer someone who has a grounding in my faith,” he said when asked about a Muslim candidate running for president.

Mr. McCain contacted beliefnet after the interview to clarify his remarks. “I would vote for a Muslim if he or she was the candidate best able to lead the country and defend our political values,” he said.

“The Senator did not intend to assert that members of one religious faith or another have a greater claim to American citizenship over another,” Jill Hazelbaker, McCain’s communication director told CNN when asked for clarification on his comments. “Read in context, his interview with beliefnet makes clear that people of all faiths are entitled to all the rights protected by the Constitution, including the right to practice their religion freely. In the interview he also observed that the values protected by the Constitution, by which he meant values such as respect for human life and dignity, are rooted in the Judeo-Christian tradition. That is all he intended to say to the question, is America a Christian nation, and it is hardly a controversial claim.”

McCain also said people should not be quick to dismiss his rival in the GOP race, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, simply because of his Mormon religion. “I believe that the Mormon religion is a religion that I don’t share, but I respect,” he said. “I think that Governor Romney’s religion should not, absolutely not, be a disqualifying factor when people consider his candidacy for President of the United States, absolutely not.”

He said he did agree with a recent poll that 55 percent of Americans believe the U.S. Constitution establishes a Christian nation. “I would probably have to say yes, that the Constitution established the United States of America as a Christian nation.”

“But I say that in the broadest sense,” he said. “The lady that holds her lamp beside the golden door doesn’t say, ‘I welcome only Christians.’ We welcome the poor, the tired, the huddled masses. But when they come here they know that they are a nation founded on Christian principles.”

McCain was also asked to clarify his being identified an Episcopalian, yet recently referring to himself as Baptist. “[It was] one comment on the bus after hours,” he said. “I meant to say that I practice in a - I am a Christian and I attend a Baptist church.” McCain said he was raised Episcopalian, but has attended a Phoenix Baptist church for many years.

When asked if he was close to taking the final step, and undergoing a Baptist baptism, he said he has been in discussions with his pastor about it. “But I would not anticipate going through that during this presidential campaign,” he said. “I am afraid it might appear as if I was doing something that I otherwise wouldn’t do.”

isreal is ramping up its genocide in Gaza.

But, don’t believe the zionist propaganda. This is not about rockets. It’s about GAS.

GAZA CITY (AFP) — The Israeli military killed two Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip early on Thursday, bringing to 11 the death toll in one of the bloodiest 24 hours in the Hamas-run territory in recent months.

The escalation, in which another 20 people were wounded, followed a warning by Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak that the clock was ticking down to a widescale military operation in Gaza aimed at curbing incessant rocket fire.

A pre-dawn Israeli air strike killed two militants from the armed wing of Hamas near the northern town of Beit Hanun, Palestinian sources said.

The army confirmed that it had “targeted a rocket-launching cell in northern Gaza who were about to fire into Israel, and we identified hitting them.”

[Bullshit.]

Late on Wednesday, nine Palestinians, two of them civilians, were killed in two separate Israeli strikes in the impoverished territory.

In the heart of Gaza City, five militants from the radical Army of Islam — which claims links to Al-Qaeda — were killed when an Israeli aircraft targeted their truck.

A sixth member of the group died of his wounds overnight, medics said.

The Army of Islam was one of three Palestinian groups, including Hamas’s armed wing, which claimed responsibility for capturing an Israeli conscript in a brazen and deadly cross-border raid in June 2006. He is still missing.

It was also responsible for March kidnapping BBC reporter Alan Johnston, who was released after 16 weeks in captivity.

[More Bullshit.]

In Beit Hanun, two civilians and one militant were killed during an Israeli ground incursion on the outskirts of the town, when armoured vehicles backed by helicopters moved some two kilometres (one mile) inside Palestinian territory in search of rockets, according to the army.

The ground operation ended early on Thursday morning, Palestinian and Israeli sources said.

More than 20 mortar shells and 11 rockets have been fired into Israel from Gaza over the past 24 hours, causing minor damage but no injuries, the army said.

The violence marks one of the bloodiest 24 hours in Gaza since Hamas, a group pledged to Israel’s destruction, seized control of the territory in mid-June, routing security forces loyal to moderate president Mahmud Abbas.

Nevertheless, Abbas lashed out against the operation in a statement released by Wafa, the official news wire of the Palestinian Authority.

“President Mahmud Abbas strongly condemned the military operations of the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip which led to the killing and wounding of scores of martyrs,” the statement said.

Abbas, currently in New York for the annual meeting of the UN General Assembly, called “for an immediate intervention to stop the slaughter the Israeli army is carrying out against our people in the Gaza Strip,” it added.

Abbas is “studying the possibility of calling the Security Council to convene an emergency session to stop the Israeli aggression,” and will be meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon later on today, it said.

Hamas also slammed the Israeli raids, with spokesman Taher al-Nunu saying it was “part of a strategy of war on the Palestinian people and on Hamas.”

Ismail Radwan, a senior Hamas official, said the strikes were aimed at putting “more and more pressure on Hamas… The enemy wants to destroy Hamas and the Hamas government by escalating its aggression.”

The Gaza operation came as Israelis began celebrating the Jewish holiday of Sukkot (Feast of the Tabernacles) and as Gazans continued to observe the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Despite regular limited incursions and air strikes into Gaza — with 1.5 million residents, one of the world’s most densely populated places — Israel has been unable to stamp out rocket fire from the territory.

On Wednesday Barak warned that “we are nearing an extensive operation in Gaza in response to rocket firing.”

Radwan warned Israel against “any complete incursion into the Gaza Strip… Any Israeli incursion, any Israeli escalation will fail,” he said, adding that it “will be met by martyr operations by both women and men,” in reference to suicide bombings.

A widescale Israeli operation inside Gaza last year — launched after the Israeli serviceman was seized by militants last June — lasted for five months and killed hundreds of Palestinians but failed to halt rocket attacks.

Although most of the homemade rockets launched by Gaza militants fall in open spaces, some of them hit their marks, leaving Israelis living around the coastal strip in a perpetual state of anxiety.

This can’t go on much longer.

It looks like israel will soon push for a “final solution” to the Arab inhabitants of Gaza.

Hiroshima, the pictures they didn’t want us to see September 28, 2007

I had to quote this blog article here, as it vital for people to see the destruction caused by US who today Policies the world.  Click here for the source of this article.

The Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki killed about 250.000 people and became the most dreadful slaughter of civilians in modern history. However, for many years there was a curious gap in the photographic records. Although the names of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were incised into our memories, there were few pictures to accompany them. Even today, the image in our minds is a mixture of devastated landscapes and shattered buildings. Shocking images of the ruins, but where were the victims?

The American occupation forces imposed strict censorship on Japan, prohibiting anything “that might, directly or by inference, disturb public tranquility” and used it to prohibit all pictures of the bombed cities. The pictures remained classified ‘top secret’ for many years. Some of the images have been published later by different means, but it’s not usual to see them all together. This is the horror they didn’t want us to see, and that we must NEVER forget:

1. Signals

All the watches found in the ground zero were stopped at 8:15 am, the time of the explosion.

Within a certain distance from the site of explosion, the heat was so intense that practically everything was vaporised. The shadows of the parapets were imprinted on the road surface of the Yorozuyo Bridge, 1/2 of a mile south-southwest of the hypocenter. Besides, in Hiroshima, all that was left of some humans, sitting on stone benches near the centre of explosion, was their outlines.

The photograph bellow shows the stone steps of a Bank where a person was incinerated by the heat rays.

2. The massacre

On August 6, 1945, 8.15 am, the uranium atom bomb exploded 580 metres above the city of Hiroshima with a blinding flash, creating a giant fireball and sending surface temperatures to 4,000C. Fierce heat rays and radiation burst out in every direction, unleashing a high pressure shockwave, vaporising tens of thousands of people and animals, melting buildings and streetcars, reducing a 400-year-old city to dust.

Housewives and children were incinerated instantly or paralysed in their daily routines, their internal organs boiled and their bones charred into brittle charcoal.

Beneath the center of the explosion, temperatures were hot enough to melt concrete and steel. Within seconds, 75,000 people had been killed or fatally injured with 65% of the casualties nine years of age and younger.

Radiation deaths were still occurring in large numbers in the following days. “For no apparent reason their health began to fail. They lost appetite. Their hair fell out. Bluish spots appeared on their bodies. And then bleeding began from the ears, nose and mouth”.

Doctors “gave their patients Vitamin A injections. The results were horrible. The flesh started rotting from the hole caused by the injection of the needle. And in every case the victim died”.

This photograph shows an eyeball of an A-bomb victim who got an atomic bomb cataract. There is opacity near the center of the eyeball.

3. Hibakusha

Hibakusha is the term widely used in Japan referring to victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Japanese word translates literally to “explosion-affected people”.

They and their children were (and still are) victims of severe discrimination due to lack of knowledge about the consequences of radiation sickness, which people believed to be hereditary or even contagious.

Many of them were fired from their jobs. Hibakusha women never got married, as many feared they would give birth to deformed children. Men suffered discrimination too. “Nobody wanted to marry someone who might die in a couple of years”.

4. Yamahata, the photographer of Nagasaki

On Agust 10, 1945, the day after the bombing of Nagasaki Yosuke Yamahata, began to photograh the devastation. The city was dead. He walked through the darkened ruins and the dead corpses for hours. By late afternoon, he had taken his final photographs near a first aid station north of the city. In a single day, he had completed the only extensive photographic record of the immediate aftermath of the atomic bombing of either Hiroshima or Nagasaki.

“A warm wind began to blow - he wrote later - Here and there in the distance I saw many small fires, like elf-fires, smoldering. Nagasaki had been completly destroyed”

Mr. Yamahata’s photographs are the most complete record of the atomic bombing as seen in the most immediate hours after the bombing. The New York Times has called Mr. Yamahata’s photographs, “some of the most powerful images ever made”.

Mr. Yamahata became violently ill on August 6, 1965, his forty-eighth birthday and the twentieth anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer of the duodenum, probably caused by the residual effects of radiation received in Nagasaki in 1945. He died on April 18, 1966, and is buried at Tama Cemetery, Tokyo.

Next war, budget sorted $42B, now just a reason needed September 27, 2007

By Tom Vanden Brook, USA TODAY

WASHINGTON — Defense Secretary Robert Gates asked a Senate committee Wednesday for $42 billion in additional funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan next year.

The request includes $11 billion for new armored vehicles to protect troops from roadside bombs and money to bring home 21,000 troops next year.

The request brings the total 2008 price tag to $189 billion for next year. Congress has approved about $450 billion for the war in Iraq and $127 billion for the war in Afghanistan.

The Pentagon already has approval to buy 8,000 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles. The $11 billion would allow for the purchase of an additional 7,000. The vehicles have V-shaped hulls and raised chassis to deflect the force of improvised explosive devices, or roadside bombs.

Troops in MRAPs are as much as four times more likely to survive an attack than those in flat-bottomed Humvees. There are about 1,100 MRAP and similar vehicles in Iraq, Gates said.

Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va., chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, criticized the Bush administration for waging a “nefarious and infernal” war. He vowed that Congress would not rubber-stamp the request.

Gates acknowledged that the wars had created friction between Congress and Bush, but he called on Congress to approve the request quickly and without “excessive and counterproductive restrictions.”

He said consistent funding is critical to maintain MRAP production. Gates estimated that production will peak at 1,200 vehicles per month by December.

The $42 billion request includes $6 billion to pay for combat troops in Iraq in 2008.

That money would also pay to bring home about 21,000 troops sent to Iraq as part of a troop escalation this year.

The troops could return home next summer, under a recommendation made by Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq. That would bring the U.S. troop level there to about 130,000.

Further reductions will be based on improved security in Iraq. Gates indicated the possibility of a long-term U.S. presence in Iraq about a quarter of the size of the current force.

House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, said the funding proposal should be approved immediately.

Gates addressed the controversy surrounding security contractors in Iraq. They have come under increased scrutiny after 11 Iraqis were killed Sept. 16 in an incident involving Blackwater USA contractors. Blackwater has said they shot in self-defense.

The Pentagon has dispatched a team to Iraq to investigate the role of security contractors, Gates said.

There are about 7,000 security contractors working for the Defense Department in Iraq. About 5,000 guard buildings and bases.

Blackwater contractors were working for the State Department in Iraq, but the incident has raised questions, Gates said.

“My concern is whether there has been sufficient accountability and oversight,” Gates said.

DIVIDE & CONQUER - Divide Iraq into 3 regions (and secure Israel) September 27, 2007

Even before Iraq was invaded, people with open eye’s knew that in the pursuit of oil the west will also divide Iraq in to little sectarian segments to keep Israel a secure nation.  This strategy is well known as Stan Moore writes:

“Divide and Conquer. That strategy is as old as warfare itself. Much is at stake, and letting the divided enemy self-destruct is much more painless than head-on confrontation.”

Why wouldn’t the U.S. bomb Shiite holy places in Iraq and shift the blame to Sunnis? Why wouldn’t the U.S. want a civil war in Iraq? Hasn’t the U.S. Always pursued “divide and conquer” strategies, starting with the earliest days of conquering the native inhabitants of Turtle Island?

Didn’t the British allies of the U.S. get caught with SAS soldiers in Arab garb driving around Basra with bomb-making materials in their vehicle? Weren’t the Brits so concerned over the capture of their covert operators by Iraqi police that they broke them out of custody, using tanks to destroy a local jail?

Anyone who doubts that the U.S. wouldn’t deliberately provoke hostility within the Iraqi population is naive, ignorant, or stupid. Didn’t the U.S. set up an Iraqi constitution that subdivided the nation by religion and culture in order to provoke resource disputes between the subdivisions? Wouldn’t a united Iraq that insisted on full Iraqi sovereignty and control of Iraqi assets and wealth be a bigger challenge to U.S. hegemony that a divided Iraq, no matter how great the intra-Iraqi violence patterns?

After all, the U.S. personnel can stay relatively safe within the Green Zone or military bases with patrol aircraft and mechanized infantry providing security while Iraqis blow the hell out of each other all over the country. The U.S. can send Navy Seals or Delta Force operatives to bomb golden mosques or any other locations they can get access to. Haven’t U.S. personnel been photographed in native garb in Afghanistan? Why wouldn’t they do the same in Iraq?

Divide and Conquer. That strategy is as old as warfare itself. Much is at stake, and letting the divided enemy self-destruct is much more painless than head-on confrontation. [date: 02/2006]

Note the date above, but since then while various smoke screens have been created to avoid this new, it seems the US have already decided the fate of the Iraq’s by setting into motion the process to reduce Iraq into mini states, keep them occupied in sectarian violence over new boarders and overall become a lesser threat to Israel and its security.  What write does US have into deciding the fate of Iraq?

Biden’s nonbinding bill, which draws bipartisan support, calls for a decentralized nation that empowers areas.

By Noam N. Levey, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
September 27, 2007

WASHINGTON — Implicitly criticizing the Bush administration’s reliance on the Iraqi central government to unify the country, the U.S. Senate on Wednesday overwhelmingly endorsed the decentralization of Iraq into semi-autonomous regions.
The nonbinding measure sponsored by Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.) — which supports a “federal system” that would divide Iraq into sectarian-dominated regions — won unusually broad bipartisan support, passing 75 to 23.
It attracted 26 Republicans, 47 Democrats and both independents.
“Slowly but surely we’re building a consensus in the Congress around a way forward in Iraq,” said Biden, who worked with conservatives, such as Sen. Sam Brownback (R-Kan.), and liberals, such as Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), to get the measure through. “That is a very hopeful sign.”
After the vote, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) cast it as an indictment of Bush’s war strategy, though the measure will not compel the administration to do anything differently.
Reid has failed all year to win substantial GOP support for measures challenging current White House policy in Iraq.
Biden’s proposal, which he outlined a year and a half ago, was once dismissed by the Bush administration and many on Capitol Hill as an unworkable and irresponsible prescription for breaking apart Iraq. But as the government of Prime Minister Nouri Maliki has stumbled in its efforts to unify the country’s warring religious and ethnic communities, the idea of a decentralized country divided among Kurds, Sunnis and Shiites has taken on new currency.
Kurds already have a largely autonomous entity in northern Iraq with a separate president and parliament. And the Bush administration’s new emphasis on “bottom-up” efforts to create a civil society, such as those it has promoted among Sunni tribal leaders in Anbar province, have been seen as a de facto endorsement of a more decentralized approach in Iraq.
The White House reacted tersely, noting that the measure conditions the policy change on the agreement of Iraqis. “The amendment recognizes that Iraqis will be the ones that make decisions about their political future,” National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said in a statement. “It also reiterates the importance of bottom-up reconciliation.”
In the Senate, Biden’s proposal has attracted far more Republican support than any previous Democratic plan, but it will have no practical effect unless it pressures the president or Iraqis to change course.
Senate Democrats last week failed three times to overcome GOP filibusters of measures designed to more forcefully change the course of U.S. policy in Iraq, including two that would have mandated a withdrawal.
Senior Democrats are still working on a compromise calling for a change of mission in Iraq that could attract enough Republican support to overcome the 60-vote supermajority insisted on by GOP leaders. It remains unclear if they will be successful before the Senate wraps up its debate of a key defense policy bill.
Biden’s amendment to the 2008 defense authorization bill concludes that “the United States should actively support a political settlement in Iraq based on the final provisions of the Constitution that create a federal system of government and allow for the creation of federal regions, consistent with the wishes of the Iraqi people and their leaders.”
Biden, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has argued that his plan does not endorse partition but simply recognizes that Iraq’s communities need to separate to stem the cycle of ethnic and sectarian violence.
He and other supporters point to the Balkans, where the U.S. helped craft a federated system in Bosnia-Herzegovina that separated Serbs, Croats and Bosnian Muslims after years of bloody civil war.
“It is possible that the present structure in Baghdad is incapable of national reconciliation because its elected constituents were elected on a sectarian basis,” said Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas), one of the measure’s cosponsors. “A wiser course would be to concentrate on the three principal regions.”
Several leading Senate Republicans — who have worked to block nearly all legislation this year challenging U.S. policy in Iraq — criticized the Biden plan for sending a dangerous message to Iraq.
“It would be a mistake for us to be seen as dictating to the Iraqi people,” said Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl, the No. 3 Republican in the Senate. “It’s clearly up to the Iraqi people to make this decision.”
All but one of the 23 no votes Wednesday were Republican. Sen. Russell D. Feingold of Wisconsin was the only Democrat to vote against the measure.
Wednesday, the Senate also passed a second nonbinding amendment that urges the Bush administration to designate Iran’s Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization, a move the administration is considering.
The measure — sponsored by Kyl and Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) — passed 76 to 22 over the objections of some Democrats who said it risked opening the door to war with Iran.
Twenty-one Democrats and one independent voted against it.

Supermodels launch anti-racism protest

Discrimination in fashion world ‘worst since 60s’
· Monthly rallies planned to put pressure on industry

by Ed Pilkington
Guardian

Several of the world’s top black supermodels, including Naomi Campbell, Iman, Liya Kebede and Tyson Beckford, yesterday launched a campaign against race discrimination in the fashion industry - which they say is at its worst since the 1960s.
About 70 leading models, designers, agents and fashion show producers gathered at a New York hotel in the first of a series of rallies designed to put pressure on the industry to face up to the problem.

Ms Campbell, who flew in from London for the meeting, repeated her recent claim that she could no longer get on to the cover of British Vogue. “Do I still want to be on the cover of British Vogue? Absolutely I do. It’s not because I don’t sell, because I do sell - more than many of my white counterparts.”

The south London-born supermodel said there had been times in her career when she had been so exhausted she had wanted to stop modelling.

She said she had no desire for sympathy or to blame anybody, but said she had had to resort to extraordinary measures to overcome resistance.

She revealed that she had forced her way on to the cover of French Vogue only after the designer Yves Saint Laurent had threatened to break off relations with the magazine unless they did so.

The event was organised by Bethann Hardison, a model from the 1970s who formed her own agency that helped launch the careers of Ms Campbell and Mr Beckford, one of the highest paid male supermodels. “In the past decade the black image has been reduced to a category - she is not even to be seen; she has become invisible,” Ms Hardison said.

The New York Times noted this week that several of the New York fashion week shows, including Calvin Klein, had featured only white models.

Several speakers at yesterday’s event said the industry had become progressively closed to African-Americans through open discrimination that would be unthinkable in any other US industry.

Claude Grunitzky, editor of the magazine Trace, said that when he invited Somalia-born Iman to guest edit a recent edition with the cover line “black girls rule”, a major advertiser had pulled out at the last minute on the grounds that the phrase was racist.

Iman added that she had found it difficult to persuade black models to pose for the cover. “I understood that - I didn’t want to be labelled a black model when I started, but now I do celebrate it and I see the difference.” [read more]

Proxy war could soon turn to direct conflict, analysts warn September 15, 2007

US strikes on Iran predicted as tension rises over arms smuggling and nuclear fears

The growing US focus on confronting Iran in a proxy war inside Iraq risks triggering a direct conflict in the next few months, regional analysts are warning.

US-Iranian tensions have mounted significantly in the past few days, with heightened rhetoric on both sides and the US decision to establish a military base in Iraq less than five miles from the Iranian border to block the smuggling of Iranian arms to Shia militias.

The involvement of a few hundred British troops in the anti-smuggling operation also raises the risk of their involvement in a cross-border clash.

US officers have alleged that an advanced Iranian-made missile had been fired at an American base from a Shia area, which if confirmed would be a significant escalation in the “proxy war” referred to this week by General David Petraeus, the US commander in Iraq.

“The proxy war that has been going on in Iraq may now cross the border. This is a very dangerous period,” Patrick Cronin, the director of studies at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, said.

Iran’s leaders have so far shown every sign of relishing the confrontation. The supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared yesterday that American policies had failed in the Middle East and warned: “I am certain that one day Bush and senior American officials will be tried in an international court for the tragedies they have created in Iraq.” [read more]

Mr Bush, your sheikh is dead September 15, 2007

Some may call it divine providence, some may call it Allah’s bidding; in the end it was up to real Iraq to intervene and shatter the “surge is a success” story sold to US and world public opinion by President George W Bush and his top man in Iraq, General David Petraeus.

Only hours before Bush recommended to the nation and the world what he had told Petraeus to recommend to Congress - in essence his roadmap toward counterinsurgency and endless military occupation of Iraq - a key player in the “success” story was killed, significantly right at the start of the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.

Sheikh Abdul Sattar Abu Risha - along with his two bodyguards was killed by a roadside bomb planted near his home in Ramadi, the capital of an Anbar province Petraeus had sworn was “pacified”.

Abu Risha, 37, was the leader of the Anbar Salvation Council, renamed Anbar Awakening - an alliance of about 200 Sunni sheikhs drawn mostly from the Dulaimi tribe and dozens of sub-clans who were fighting against al-Qaeda in the Land of the Two Rivers.

In his speech, Bush outlined the plan to leave more than 130,000 troops in the battle zone in Iraq next year, unless Petraeus and Bush decide further withdrawals are possible before that.
With regard to Abu Risha’s killing, as far as the White House is concerned it was the work of al-Qaeda (12 mentions of “al-Qaeda” in Bush’s speech). Were this to be the case, the “don’t mess with us” al-Qaeda message couldn’t be more devastating. Consider the chain of events of the past few days.

  • In a carefully stage-managed piece of theater, Bush visits al-Asad military air base in Anbar (not real Iraq) to stress his “surge” is working. He personally meets Abu Risha.
  • Osama bin Laden, looking like a clone of himself with a stick-on beard, releases his first video in almost three years, proving he’s alive and kicking. The video may or may be not be a fake.
  • Petraeus and US Ambassador in Iraq Ryan Crocker start their presentation in front of Congress, assuring the US and the world the “surge” is a “success”.
  • Bin Laden releases his second tape in four days, praising one of the September 11, 2001, “martyrs”. His image is on freeze-frame; his lips do not move.
  • Bush announces he will recommend to the nation what he told Petraeus to recommend to Congress: not a drawdown, but the actual extension of the “surge” until next summer.
  • Abu Risha, the man Petraeus relied on for the “success” of the “surge”, is killed in Anbar. No wonder Petraeus defined it as “a tragic loss”.
The hit on Bush’s sheikh happened just 10 days after they met. Al-Qaeda had plenty of motives to order the hit. But so did other key players. [read more]
  • Clashes at Belgian anti-Islam rally September 15, 2007

Two leaders from the far-right Vlaams Belang party are among dozens of people arrested by Belgian police during an anti-Islam rally that had been banned by authorities.

Police clashed with protesters who gathered in Brussels, the Belgian capital, to demonstrate against what they called “the Islamisation of Europe”.

The march on Tuesday was timed to coincide with the sixth anniversary of the September 11 attacks in New York and organisers had predicted about 20,000 people would attend.

In the end, only one hundredth of that number were reported to have turned up and were nearly outnumbered by reporters and police.

    ‘Inflammatory group’

Freddy Thielemans, the mayor of Brussels, banned the rally last month, calling the organisers, Stop Islamisation of Europe, an inflammatory group and the demonstration a threat to public order.

Thielmans said police made 154 “administrative arrests”.

“I’m shocked. I thought we lived in a democratic country,” Anders Gravers, one of the members of SIOE – a loose alliance that has origins in the UK, Denmark and Germany, said.

Police confirmed Dewinter and Vanhecke were to be charged for allegedly attacking the driver of an armoured vehicle that they were taken away in.

The two men are members of the European parliament and two other MEPs were also arrested.

Terry Davis, the head of the Council of Europe - a watchdog focusing mainly on human rights rather than the EU institution - called the protestors “bigots” and said they were a threat to European values.

“It is very important to remember that the freedom of assembly and expression can be restricted to protect the rights and freedoms of others, including the freedom of thought, conscience and religion,” he said in a statement.

“This applies to everyone in Europe, including the millions of Europeans of Islamic faith, who were the main target of today’s shameful display of bigotry and intolerance.”

When the government declares this demonstration as illegal and sets a ban, then what do you expect?  This was illegal and the people who attended got what they deserved.

Ahmadinejad Message to Saudi King September 15, 2007

Saudi King Abdullah has received a message from the Islamic Republic of Iran’s president, conveyed to him by Iran’s special envoy and minister of information Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejeii. Iran and Saudi Arabia are 2 important regional countries with key roles in the region’s security, in OPEC and in the Organization of the Islamic Conference.

That is why their level of ties is an important criterion to assess the region’s situation. This was a point reiterated by the Saudi king in his meeting with Ejeii, reiterating the need for continued bilateral consultations on regional issues. Riyadh’s foreign policy has in the past years turned toward solving regional crisis. Saudi officials decided to distance themselves from US militarist policies in the region.

The Saudi king considers reinforcing ties with Iran to be important due to the regional situation and divisive US policies. Iran’s foreign policy priority is also based on boosting ties with Arab states and in this line Iran’s growing ties with the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council in the political and economic fields indicate the progress of this bilateral policy.

Tehran and Riyadh also in their consultations discuss the situations in Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine and the Zionist Regime threats. And the message by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the Saudi king should be assessed from the angle of regional developments and reinforcing coordination in the Islamic world’s stances.  [source

ISRAELI WARPLANES INVADES SYRIAN AIR SPACE AND GET FIRED UPON BY SYRIA. September 6, 2007

Here we see another example of the illegal state of Israel deliberate attention to provoke another war in the Middle East.  It is reported that Israeli warplanes armed with live weapons violated Syria’s airspace.  Syria responded by engaging the warplanes and forced the Israeli warplanes to drop their ammunition in the desert and flee Syria’s airspace.  Pilots sometimes jettison ammunition or extra fuel to make their aircraft lighter and easier to get away.  This was exercised by Israeli warplanes.

This is another example of Israeli terrorism in the Middle East.  Although the bias media has down played this news it still is reaching out to people through other means.

Few question arise from this invasion:

Why was Israeli warplanes violating Syrian’s airspace?

    How many warplanes were sent?

    What was their objective?

Is this Israeli drawing Syria into a war, for US and Europe to get involved so that Syria can be divided like Iraq and Afghanistan?

Not surprisingly, the media totally covered up the fact that Israel had violated Syrian’s airspace, making Israel the guilty party.  This is common reporting method for the media by deliberately misleading news and making Israel the innocent party.  Just to highlight some examples of the bias media reports:

JEWS FIRED UPON BY SYRIA - Netscape News

SYRIA FIRES ON ISRAELI WAR PLANES - ABC News

WASHINGTON DECLINES COMMENT AFTER SYRIA FIRES ON ISRAELI PLANES - Afp

    SYRIAN-ISRAELI AIR INCIDENT - CBN News.com

No where will you find a news article or report (by a western media), telling the truth.

    Read the report from BBC:

Syria has said its air defences opened fire on Israeli warplanes after they violated its airspace in the north of the country.

Syrian officials said the defences forced the jets to drop ammunition over deserted areas and turn back, according to the official news agency, Sana.

Israel’s military said it would not comment on the reports.

Israel and Syria remain technically at war and tensions between them have been rising in recent months.

The Syrian government has insisted that peace talks can be resumed only on the basis of Israel returning the Golan Heights, which it seized in 1967.

Israeli authorities, for their part, have demanded that Syria abandon its support for Palestinian and Lebanese militant groups before talks can begin.

The last peace talks between the two countries broke down in 2000.

    ‘Enemy aircraft’

A Syrian military spokesman said the Israeli warplanes had flown into Syrian airspace at around 0100 local time on Thursday morning, Sana reported.

“The Israeli enemy aircraft infiltrated into the Arab Syrian territory through the northern border, coming from the Mediterranean heading toward the eastern region, breaking the sound barrier,” he said.

They were then engaged by Syrian air defence forces in the Tall al-Abyad, an area 160km (100 miles) north of Raqqa and near the border with Turkey, witnesses said.

“Air defence units confronted them and forced them to leave after they dropped some ammunition in deserted areas without causing any human or material damage,” the spokesman said.

Pilots sometimes jettison ammunition or extra fuel to make their aircraft lighter and easier to manoeuvre.

Syria’s Information Minister, Mohsen Bilal, told al-Jazeera TV that his government was “seriously studying the nature of the response”.

“Israel in fact does not want peace,” he said. “It cannot survive without aggression, treachery and military messages.”

    Tensions

Officials in Damascus said Syrian forces last fired at Israeli warplanes in June 2006, when they flew over the summer residence of the Syrian president in Lattakia, while he was inside.

Over the past few months, the leaders of both countries have both stressed that they do not want war.

But both sides have also been preparing for possible conflict.

In June, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert insisted his country did not want war with Syria, and that he had communicated this to Damascus through diplomatic channels.

He also repeated his warning that a “miscalculation” could spark hostilities between the two.

Mr Olmert’s statement came after the Israeli military staged major exercises in the Golan Heights. Syria is also reported to have recently built up its armaments along the border. [source]

Abbas makes election law changes September 2, 2007

Another corrupt leader on Israeli and US payroll (appointed to break down Palestine from the inside to secure the future of the self declared illegal state of israel).

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has announced changes in the election law which could boost his Fatah party against rivals Hamas.

Under the new law, Palestinians will vote solely for party lists, while voting by district will be eliminated.

Hamas, which took control of the Gaza Strip after fighting with Fatah in June, described the move as illegal.

Mr Abbas revealed the changes as he met EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

Mr Solana is having talks with Palestinian and Israeli leaders to help prepare for an international Middle East peace conference planned for later this year.

Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, who is special envoy for the Middle East peace sponsoring group known as the Quartet, is expected in the region later on Sunday.

    ‘No right’

Palestinian officials said the decree on election law had already been signed and would be published later in the day.

The decree also requires all election candidates to recognise the Fatah-dominated Palestine Liberation Organisation as the “sole, legitimate representative” of the Palestinian people, a position not accepted by Hamas.

    Hamas condemned Mr Abbas’ move.

“The president doesn’t have the right to make any changes to the law,” Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri told AFP news agency.

“He cannot conduct elections if Hamas doesn’t accept them.”

Rivalry between Hamas and Fatah has intensified since Hamas swept to victory in elections last year.

In 2006 half the seats were chosen on a national list and the other half by districts, where the Islamist movement reportedly had its biggest successes.

The US "intellectually bankrupt" September 1, 2007

Is it any surprise that once the heat is on, the fingers start pointing at others:

The head of the British army during the Iraq invasion has said US post-war policy was “intellectually bankrupt”.

In a Daily Telegraph interview, former chief of the general staff, Gen Sir Mike Jackson, added that US strategy had been “short-sighted”.

He said former US defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld was “one of the most responsible for the current situation”.

The Ministry of Defence said Sir Mike was a private citizen who was entitled to express his views.

The US Department of Defense said: “Divergent viewpoints are a hallmark of open, democratic societies.”

Sir Mike told the Daily Telegraph that Mr Rumsfeld’s claim that US forces “don’t do nation-building” was “nonsensical”.

He criticised the decision to hand control of planning the administration of Iraq after the war to the Pentagon.

He also described the disbanding of the Iraqi army and security forces after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein as “very short-sighted”.

“We should have kept the Iraqi security services in being and put them under the command of the coalition,” he said.
