Fastest-Growing Religion Often Misunderstood

Can you guess the location of these People praying?

NO NEED TO CLICK ANYWHERE, I’LL TELL YOU:

Aaron Cambel was an American kid who used to hang out with friends cruising the local mall,  picking up girls, checking out the latest fashions and getting in trouble. “I was realized if I took the same path, I would have ended up the way they did, wasting my life away,” says Cambel, who lives in Washington. So he converted to Islam. “It was the most simple and direct to understand of the religions I looked into,” says Cambel, who converted four years ago. “It taught about moral character, and ethics and the way people should be treated.”

The American Muslim birthrate is about 4.5 children per couple, versus the 1.9 child per couple national average.

Islam Liberates Black Americans

Cambel, 23, has joined one of the fastest growing religions in the United States. Experts agree Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in America. As many as five million Muslims live in the United States and in the last five years, the number of mosques in this country has increased from 843 to about 1,300. Most of the growth has come from immigration, but much of it is home-grown. For many black Americans, Islam has become the religion of choice and some one million—mostly men—have converted. “It is an American phenomenon, which started in the ghettoes of the north,” says Yvonne Haedad, a professor of history of Islam and of Christian-Muslim Relations at Georgetown University. “It is a response to racism…it is seen as the religion of liberation.” Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam has become the most prominent black Islamic group in the United States. Black men in bow ties and dark suits emphasize the strict discipline of the order, which emphasizes empowerment, a key theme of the Million Man March on Washington in 1995. But Farrakhan’s anti-Semitic remarks—calling  Jews “bloodsuckers” who took from the community to build their own—have brought controversy and publicity to the group. “It’s very visible, because Farrakhan is very visible,” says Fahhim Abdulhadi, spokesman for the American Muslim Council. “Muslims in mainstream have lots of problems with Farrakhan.”

Muslims Battle Prejudices

Many mainstream Muslims also have a problem with the tide of misunderstanding in the United States. “We always need to explain so many issues, “ says Hassan Qacwini, Imam of the Islamic Center of America in Detroit. The most common misunderstanding, according to Qacwini,  is that Islam fosters violence, a perception reconfirmed whenever extremist groups set off suicide bombs or massacre tourists in the Middle East.

“Islam is a peaceful religion,” says Qacwini. “Some would try to connect terrorism to Islam, which is wrong.” Many Americans looked for a Muslim scapegoat when the Alfred P. Murrah building blew up in 1995. “After the Oklahoma City bombing, people said it was Middle East terrorists,” says Abdulhadi. Several Middle Eastern men were briefly detained, and there were reports of harassment against Muslims, including beatings and a mosque burning. Some Muslims point out that when Timothy McVeigh was arrested, no one accused him of bombing the federal building for religious reasons. “Nobody talks about McVeigh as Christian terrorist,” says Haedad.

Hostility Breeds Assertion

The role of women is another area of misunderstanding. For  example, while some non-Muslims see the veil as a tool of oppression, many Muslim women see it as a reinforcement of  their identity in a culture that is hostile to Islam. “It’s empowerment,” says Haedad. “Women say ‘I’m going to wear it and you’d better to put up with it.’” While many   Muslims assert their identity in a society they perceive as hostile, most have followed the pattern of practically every other ethnic and religious group in America: blending and assimilating. “Most Muslims, you wouldn’t pick them out,” says Abdulhadi. “They’re just going to work and getting along.”

There is an estimated 1.6 Billion Muslims currently around the world today!

“…Islam fosters violence, a perception reconfirmed whenever extremist groups set off suicide bombs or massacre tourists in the Middle East.”

Why yes, I guess that does reconfirm it.

Typical, this is exactly what the article above is talking about, western massive “misunderstanding” and a deliberate attempt to demonise Islam.

Incidently, have you come accross non-Muslims who want to BAN the BIBLE? If not then check out the link below to find out:

“For example, while some non-Muslims see the veil as a tool of oppression, many Muslim women see it as a reinforcement of their identity in a culture that is hostile to Islam. ”

I routinely see little girls of three, four and five years of age wearing the veil here in the US in a public school.

Even ultra-fundamentalist societies like Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan do not veil preschool girls.

So, gee, I wonder why families are putting headcoverings on these tiny little girls?

My only conclusion is that the families are fearful that the girls will balk at wearing headcoverings unless they are put in them practically from toddlerhood. Islamic states don’t have to worry about this, because all girls are forced into veiling by, what, nine? twelve?

One girl who was not pushed into the veil until the late age of six or seven would wear the veil on the way to school, and then take it off and hide it in her backpack until it was time to go home. The non-Muslim teachers at the school had no interest in helping enforce the veiling fatwa on this little girl, and her father was continually frustrated. Apparently, the joys of asserting one’s identity via hijab are not as compelling as he had imagined.

Do you like your peripheral vision? I do.

Do you like the freedom of not having a large cloth draped on your head which can catch on things? I do, too!

Do you like the feeling of not having to worry about adjusting your veil for total coverage every five minutes or so until it becomes a compulsive habit to check it? Yep, me too!

The reality is that the hijab is a legal requirement in Muslim states, and an issue of considerable community pressure in non-Muslim states. Legal requirements are not necessary to compel people to do what they like (such as eating ice cream or watching tv), but rather to get people to do things they don’t like (like driving the speed limit or wearing an all-enveloping burka on a 88 degree day).

Do you hold the same opinion about the Christian Nun’s?
Do you hold the same views about Mother Teresa?

Female Muslims, those that have the knowledge clearly know why they should cover up. If you call your self a Muslim then you have to follow the Holy Book “Qur’an” and if you follow this Holy book then you will have to follow the this verse:

Allah (SWT) states in Holy Qur’an: “And say to the believing women that they cast down their looks and guard their private parts and do not display their ornaments except what appears thereof, and let them wear their head-coverings over their bosoms, and not display their ornaments except to their husbands…”

Hijab is one of the righteous deeds and it is a sign of honor and equality with men and stands as a shield of protection against evil man. This, you will not find in your society (the closest thing you got were the Nun’s which incidentally are in total decline, much like every other thing in Christianity, thus forcing you to raise your finger at Muslims).

One of the most common phrases in Islam is the ‘Paradise lies at the feet of the mother’. And Allah (SWT) states in Holy Qur’an: “And your Lord has commanded that you shall not serve (any) but Him, and goodness to your parents. If either or both of them reach old age with you, say not to them (so much as) “Ugh” nor chide them, and speak to them a generous word.” Holy Qur’an (17:23). Once again, in your society as soon as ones parents reach old they are dumped into a Nursing/care home, while the children celibrate the reward “inheritance”.

What kind of dignity a non-believer has by the way; they conduct their life and expose themselves. They have removed the shield of protection, that modesty of Hijab and left themselves unprotected and that is the cause for the assault, which takes place once every ten seconds in rape and murder around the world. But those true Muslims who observe proper Hijab are protected from such assaults and not one ease or this type is ever heard of.

Those who reject Hijab and wish to attract men are suffering from inferiority complex. They believe men are superior and in order to overcome this feeling, they use their feminine charms. But why should a Muslim woman have such a feeling when she is fully aware of her equality with men?

At least Muslim women are identified by a symbol of respect “The Hijab”, The Hijab is not to please men or findel/kafir men but to secure their respect and dignity, something which is missing from the western society.

I can give you multiple example of non-Muslim girls who at the age of 11 are hanging around non-Muslim males, drinking, smoking and having so called “daisy sex” (multiple partners). But this sort of information to you comes as no surprise since in your society this is NORMAL and part of the society. But the best things you can do are look at Muslim girls in Hijab and think how do they do it? Have you ever seen a picture of Virgin Mary (may god bless her) in a Church, is she wearing a bikini or a mini skirt, or does her appearance resemble that of a Muslim girl?

I suggest you should read the bible more often and start thinking about your own society.

From the Bible:
Why don’t todays Christians insist on the recommened bible punishment for adultery? Is it because so many Christians are unable to be faithful themselves and are more than willing to have sexual liaisons with other people’s spouses?
“And the man that committeth adultery with another man’s wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. And the man that lieth with his father’s wife hath uncovered his father’s nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” (Leviticus 20:10-11)

Forced Sexual Slavery from the bible:
“How shall we do for wives for them that remain?….. And the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiantest, and commanded them, saying, Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead with the edge of the sword, with the woman and the children. And this is the thing that ye shall do. Ye shall utterly destroy every male, and every woman that hath lain by man. And they found among the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying by any male; and they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh, and they gave them wives which they had saved alive of the women of Jabesh-gilead.” Judges 21:7,12
“Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth, as a long hind and a graceful doe, let her breasts satisfy you at all times.” Proverbs 5:18-19

“Your stature is like a palm tree, and your breasts are like its clusters. I said, ‘I will climb the palm tree. I will take hold of its fruit stalks.’ Oh may your breasts be like clusters of the vine and the fragrance of your breath like apples.” Song of Solomon 7:7-8

What do you say about the above then?

5. Tenides - October 14, 2007

“What kind of dignity a non-believer has by the way; they conduct their life and expose themselves. They have removed the shield of protection, that modesty of Hijab and left themselves unprotected and that is the cause for the assault, which takes place once every ten seconds in rape and murder around the world.”

I do not need to wear the religious garb of a Muslim to have dignity or protection in life.

In fact, I would no more wear hijab than dress myself up like a whirling dervish or Buddhist nun. I do not frock myself in the trappings of a religion I do not believe in. Neither, I think, would you care to dress up as a Hindu mystic or Catholic monk, as you would rightfully view that as an affront to your identity as a Muslim.

I am aware that women who do not “cover” are viewed as suitable victims for sexual depredation by some Muslim men. This is why we must question whether it is really practical for Muslim men to immigrate to Western countries where women do not wear hijab. An example of this is Sweden, where the native Swedish men have very low levels of rape crime, while the Muslim immigrant men have high levels of rape against Swedish women.

Can we agree that the best place for a Muslim male, who has been trained to respect only women who wear hijab, is in Muslim lands?

So the question becomes: Why do Muslim men move to countries with different traditions which they do not like and proceed to insult the women of those countries? Why not emigrate to Saudi Arabia, where every woman in the country will be segregated and fully covered?

Of course, I’m sure that you, yourself, are living in a Muslim state, yes?

6. infidelkafirwatch - October 14, 2007

“I am aware that women who do not “cover” are viewed as suitable victims for sexual depredation by some Muslim men.”

What a joke, please keep me entertained.

If a male who has emigrated to the west, calls him self a Muslim and commits sin such as rape, then he IS NOT A MUSLIM. Simple, as Islam forbids such activity, unlike the bible:

“Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbor, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of the sun. For thou didst it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.” II Samuel 12:11,12

“And Ahithophel said to Absalom, Go in unto thy father’s concubines, which he hath left to keep the house, and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father…..so they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel.” II Samuel 16:21,22

How stupid can you be, anyone who is not white automatically is labelled as a Muslim by you. Muslim’s never fear anyone apart from God and his instructions. God’s instructions include to protect women and not to commit sin, so how can a Muslim who is God fearing commit such activity? If he is not a Muslim then yeah sin as such will be committed.

There are more rapes and sexual abuse taking place amongst girls and children in the west by white people than anywhere else in the world, but this is down played by filth like you.

You really do make me laugh, please keep me entertained, I will have to share this with my friends as its so amusing…bbbwwwaaahhh hhaaahha ahahhahaa

Interesting blog. Rape and sexual depravity is inherent to the nature of white european males.

Why don’t today’s Christians insist on the recommended bible punishment for adultery?

Muhammad was a warlord and a statesman, like Moses and unlike Jesus. This means that the Old Testament and the Qur’an are “governing” scriptures, while the New Testament is a “subversive” one.

For this reason almost no Christian states have used religious law historically (and if they did the law they used was more Judaic than Christian in character). In fact I wager that the majority of Christians who lived under biblical law were living in Muslim states (thanks to the non-territorial governance inherent in the dhimma).

Law in the English-speaking world is based on Anglo-Saxon common law (or are you one of those Muslims who believes that King Henry II’s reforms to English law were essentially Shari’ah-inspired?), while law in the rest of the West is based on Roman law.

Within the West, only the Dominionist fringe in the United States advocates imposition of religious law.
