BBC newsreader Darren Jordon is quitting the Corporation to join Arab broadcaster Al Jazeera International.

Darren, 45, joined the BBC for eight years and has been a regular on the Six O’clock and Ten O’clock bulletins. He will leave at the end of this month.

He said: “I’ve had a wonderful time at the BBC. I’ve learnt an awful lot and worked with some exceptionally talented individuals. The move comes at the right time for me and I look forward to fresh challenges.” read more

Good on ya, maybe more will follow. I would like to ask that why would Darren Jorden start to work for a news channel which has at the centre of controversy in recent years, especially since Afghanistan and Iraq had been invaded?

He either has gone to influence the media reporting or actually realised that the western media is bias in all forms. Only time will tell.
